1. Perfect Security
2. Statistical Security
3. Computational Security
We are excited to be hosting an "MPC Retreat" at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
Secure multiparty computation (MPC) allows two or more parties to compute some joint function over their private inputs while ensuring privacy (parties learn only the output of the computation) and correctness (output of the computation is correct). Since its introduction by Andrew Yao in the 1980s, MPC has evolved as one of the most active research areas in both theoretical and applied cryptography. This event will feature two talks for each session exploring key ideas and recent developments in MPC, followed by an interactive discussion designed to actively engage participants. The discussion will provide an open forum for exchanging perspectives, exploring emerging directions, and fostering broader conversation within the community.

Participation in the MPC Retreat is primarily by invitation only. Invitations have been extended to researchers and students working in the area of secure multiparty computation and related fields.
If you work in a relevant area and are interested in attending, you are welcome to write to us at mpcretreat.csa@iisc.ac.in with a brief description of your research background. We will do our best to accommodate additional participants subject to space availability.
Room: CSA Auditorium (104, Ground floor)
Department of Computer Science and Automation,
Indian Institute of Science,
Bangalore 560012
The Institute is known as Tata Institute to the locals. It is better to use the name Tata Institute with the taxi, auto-rickshaw drivers, and bus conductors. The directions from IISc Main building to CSA Auditorium can be found here.
If you wish to stay at a hotel near the venue, the following are some options:
Directions from Bangalore International Airport
The institute is locally known as Tata Institute, and that can be used to refer IISc to cab, auto or drivers. Most of the time you can set your destination as CSA, IISc for app-cabs but in case you need to give directions you can say: From Mekhri Circle, take the road (called CV Raman Road) towards Yeshwanthpur, Keep straight at the first traffic signal (at Sadashiva Nagar Police Station), About 500m beyond this signal, you’ll see the gates of IISc on the right-hand side.
You can also choose to use one of the cab services by installing the requisite apps on your smartphone:

From Airport by Bus: Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) runs bus services from the airport to various areas in Bangalore city. They have boarding points at both the terminals (T1 and T2) of Kempegowda International Airport. You have to board the KIA-10 bus and get down at Tata Institute bus stand.
From Airport by Train: From both the terminals there is a free shuttle service operated to the KIA halt railway station. From there you can take a train to Yeshwantpur railway station. From there you can opt for an auto or walk. Please check the timings of the trains beforehand, and note that this service is not available on Sundays.
The Institute is known as "Tata Institute" to the locals and is just past Mekhri circle and on the way to Yeshwantpur.
SMVT Railway Station: If you get down at SMVT railway station you can also take an app-cab or auto to the destination. If you choose to avail public transport you should take the 300-MV bus operated by BMTC to the Kempegowda bus station and then follow the instructions provided above.
KSR Railway Station/Kempegowda Bus Station: The city railway station is about 7 kms from IISc campus. You can book app-cabs or autos from there. Majestic (or Kempegowda Bus station), which is 7 kms from IISc, is the central Bus stand in Bangalore which is just opposite to the City Railway station. If you happen to reach Majestic, Bangalore by bus, go to platform number 22 from where almost all buses come to the Institute. If you plan to take a bus from Majestic, you have to move past Malleswaram 18th cross bus stand towards Yeshwantpur in order to reach IISc (also popularly called Tata Institute). There is a bus stop on the highway near the yellow over bridge before Yeshwantpur circle. Also, there is a bus stop at Yeshwantpur tollgate, just where the KV gate of IISc is located. Most buses go to one of these places. The closest bus stop to the venue is the Tata Institute bus stop.
Yeshwantpur Railway Station: This station is at a walking distance from IISc. You should exit from the Platform 1 side of the station and either walk or take an auto or cab.
You can also choose to use one of the cab services by installing the requisite apps on your smartphone:
